How to fix rearrangement of display screen/spaces on Mac?

Sometimes i get irritated when i see the arrangement of spaces or screen changes when i want to switch between screens on Mac. I always try to ask how do you prevent the macos from occasionally changing or resetting the display arrangement on its own upon waking up or a reboot?

The solution is simple:

Go to Apple > System Preferences >

Mission Control > un-check "Automatically rearrange spaces"

and "Displays have separate spaces"

Cheers :)

Javascript to open new popup window center on screen

I have met this requirement several times and have written this many times from scratch.
I seem to forget the syntax and refer on the internet again and again. this time I formaly wanted to give it a place on my blog itself.
So here comes a simple java script function that opens a new pop-up window and puts it on middle of screen :-

For example you may try out the following link...
Click Here to open POPUP WINDOW

Clicking on the above link will open a new window. Voila!! U achieved a popup window. True, it was as easy as this. But the syntax to open a new window should be kept in mind.

You can return to this blog, whenever you feel like. There are a lots more advices, secret tricks, tips in programming. I do this for joy and passion. But no wrong if I request you to click on few of the Advertisement links. It would help me getting my bread and butter.

And for you all, I promise that the next article will be a very buttery. Yum! Yum!

Taking screen shot in Mac OSx

Taking screenshot in windows is very simple. A keypress can do that but on Mac it requires a combination of keys. But on the other hand, the added advantage in Mac is that you can select the area under screen shot very easily.

1) Taking full screen shot
Command[Apple] + shift + 3 = take a screen shot. The screen shot will be automatically saved as a PNG file on your desktop.

2) Taking selective area screenshot
The same instead of 4 brings up a cross and can take a screen shot of a selection. A cross-hair cursor will appear and you can click and drag to select the area you wish to capture.

3) Taking screenshot of an application window
To capture a specific application window, press Command-Shift-4, then press the Spacebar. The cursor will become a camera, and you can move it around the screen. On moving cursor over an application window, the window will be highlighted. When you have the cursor over a window you want to capture, just click the mouse button and the screen shot will be saved as a PNG file on your desktop
